Shaws Cycling Centre

After retiring from professional racing, Dennis Shaw opened Shaw’s Cycling Centre in February 1980, leaving Hewitt and Witty where he had worked as a book keeper.

The store originally opened at 178 Albert Street, Sebastopol, originally a barber shop and now part of the Sebastopol Fire Station. The store was moved to it current location in 1987.

In August of 2010, Dennis expanded the shop, doubling it’s size to make Shaw’s Cycling Centre the largest and best-stocked bike shop in Ballarat.

Shaw’s Cycling is the sole agent for Giant Bicycles (since 1990), Bianchi, Gemini Bicycles (since 1985) and Mongoose Cycles (since 1992).

Shaw’s Cycling Centre also stock a number of other quality brands such as Limar Helmets, Pearl Izumi and Uno Clothing, BBB Parts, Continental Tyres, Shimano Parts, Diadora, Louis Garneau and Shimano Shoes.

For Dennis Shaw, it’s not just about selling bikes – it’s a passion.
